Who We Are

Torn Intel (torn-intel.com) is a faction intelligence platform for the browser game Torn City. It is developed and operated by a solo developer (JESUUS [2353554]). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over that data.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use the following cookies and browser storage:

Strictly necessary cookies (session, consent) are always active: they are required for the site to function.
Analytics cookies are only set if you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for torn-intel.com.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and PostHog

If you accept analytics cookies, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-SDX9PHFBDF). It collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• General geographic region (country/city level)
• Browser type, device type, operating system
• Traffic source (how you found the site)

This data is processed by Google and subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We use it solely to understand how the platform is used and improve it. We do not use GA4 for advertising or remarketing.

The second analytics tool, labelled Product Analytics in the consent banner, is PostHog, hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com). It records which features are used and, on some pages, a session replay: a reconstruction of your clicks and navigation. It is processed under PostHog’s Privacy Policy.

If you decline analytics cookies, neither Google Analytics nor PostHog is loaded at all. Not even the tracking libraries. Advertising is handled separately, see below.

Advertising

Torn Intel is free to use and advertising helps keep it that way. Ads are served by Nitro (NitroPay, an Overwolf company), which runs an auction between its demand partners for each ad slot. Ads are shown to everyone, and at least one ad position stays visible for every visitor, including Pro members.

Pro members choose which ad positions they see: the bottom bar, the side column, or both. The choice is saved to your account and applies across your devices; it changes where ads appear, not whether they appear. On phones and narrower screens the bottom bar is the only position available to anyone, because the side column needs a wider display.

• Nitro and the demand partners it works with use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, potentially based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
• Ads may be personalised or non-personalised depending on the consent choice you make.
• Serving an ad involves your browser sending the vendor standard request information, including your IP address, the page URL, and your browser and device type.
• If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, advertising consent is collected through an IAB TCF-registered consent management platform, which appears on your first visit. You can reopen it at any time with the link below to change or withdraw your choice.
• Your Torn API key, account data and faction intelligence are never sent to any advertiser, under any configuration.

Your choices

EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR). Change your consent preferences — reopens the consent dialog so you can review or withdraw the choices you made.

California (CCPA/CPRA). Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — records your opt-out signal with the ad network for this browser. We do not sell personal information for money; the link is provided because sharing data for personalised advertising counts as a “sale” under California law.

Independently of this site, you may opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info and the NAI opt-out page.

Data We Collect & Why

Beyond cookies and analytics, we collect Torn City game data through the Torn API on your behalf:

• Your player ID, name, and faction membership, to authenticate and identify your workspace
• Faction member activity (online/idle/offline status), to power activity heatmaps and monitoring
• Personal stats (xanax, overdoses, play time, battle stats), to display individual analytics
• Ranked war data, to track war performance and history
• Armory usage logs, to audit item usage within your faction
• Company data, if you use the Company Dashboard feature
• Energy, drug cooldown, and medical cooldown, shared within your faction only

All data originates from the official Torn API. We never collect data through any other means. All API calls are read-only, we cannot perform any action on your Torn account.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Data Sharing

• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• Data about your own faction (company data, TornStats spy reports, energy and cooldowns, armory activity) is only shared with members of your own faction, unless you explicitly enable a sharing feature (company sharing, alliance spy sharing).
• Data collected about watched (opponent) factions, meaning personal stats, activity snapshots and armory events, is pooled across all Torn Intel workspaces so the same faction is never fetched twice. That pool is readable by other Torn Intel users. It is never published publicly, never sold, and never leaves the service. Battle stats from BSP stay private to the subscriber who paid for them.
• If you accept analytics, data is shared with Google and with PostHog under their respective privacy policies, see Analytics below.
• AI features send game data to Groq. When you run the AI war analysis, the AI payout planner or an AI market summary, the relevant game data, which includes player names, player IDs, levels and war performance figures, is sent to Groq, a third-party inference provider, to generate the text you see. No API key and no credential is ever included. These features run only when you trigger them.
• Your Torn API key is transmitted to one third party: BSP (www.lol-manager.com), a battle-stats estimation service we do not operate. Its API takes the key as part of the request, so obtaining an estimate means sending your key to their server. This happens automatically as part of faction stats collection and is not opt-in. We have no control over how BSP logs or retains what it receives. See the Terms of Service for details.
• We may use TornStats or FF Scouter APIs if you provide those keys, data is fetched on your behalf and stored in our database under the same access controls as all other faction data. Unlike BSP, both are opt-in: nothing is sent to them unless you add the corresponding key in Settings.
• Your Torn account data, API data and faction intelligence are never shared with advertisers or data brokers. Advertising on this site is served by Google, which sets its own cookies and receives standard request data such as your IP address and page URL, see Advertising below.

Data Retention

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or EEA, you have the following rights:

• Right of access, you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification, you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Right to withdraw analytics consent, clear torn-intel-cookie-consent from your browser’s localStorage, then decline on your next visit.
• Right to withdraw advertising consent, advertising consent is held separately by Google’s consent platform, not by us. Change or withdraw it using the privacy or consent link Google displays on the page. Clearing our analytics choice does not affect it.
• Right to object, you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to data portability, where technically feasible, we can provide your data in a structured format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the methods listed below. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

All sensitive data (API keys, 2FA secrets) is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Sessions use signed httpOnly cookies with Secure and SameSite flags. The platform runs automated security checks on every code change. For full details, see our Security page.

Age Requirements

Torn Intel is intended for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will delete their data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be announced via the in-app announcement banner.
